One Ocean Dive College works according to the most important criteria when it comes to diving-education: To educate people into secure diving, by means of qualified and experienced instructors!
We conduct our theory classes and pool training in the facilities of the training- and fitness-center Spicheren at the University of Agder.
The sea diving is conducted in our neighborhood, at Dvergsnestangen, where our base is also situated. We are proud to inform, that – as the only dive-center in Norway – we were rewarded one of the 100 best dive-resorts of the world, in the German dive-magazine “Unterwasser”.
Here, we offer safe diving-education throughout the whole chain. Our most important issue is quality throughout the education. To achieve that, we, among other things, never have more than four participants per course.This is to secure that all participants gets optimal attention and follow-up throughout the course.
In addition, after having qualified, you are automatically given a free one-year membership in the One Ocean Dive Society dive club. This opens up a unique opportunity for continued diving, through cheap rental of equipment and organized boat-trips.

RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS (WITH INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATE GRANTING)

OPEN WATER DIVER

The course is divided into three parts:

Theory lessons: Open Water course with theory class online
Pool training: 3 days (circa 3 hours each day)
Sea diving: 3 days (circa 5 hours every day)

We run courses with only 4 students per. course because we believe it gives the individual student a better learning basis, greater opportunity for development and good personal monitoring.

Courses start:

Weekend courses starts every Friday and lasts two full weekends. Weekly Courses begin every Monday and go over every afternoon until Saturday. Two weeks course begins every Tuesday and you select the days that suit you want a different rate plan that fits your schedule better, please contact us and we will tailor a timetable for you.

ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER

As a certified diver you may have already discovered that diving is more than an end in itself. Diving is the gateway to a whole range of activities and skills that give you experiences, excitement and recreation, where you hit other people with common interests.

You might have a budding interest in the wreck to dive for missing objects, or you want to consult your favorite place in the evening. This course gives you the opportunity to experience some of the most exciting aspects of diving, and lets you choose the topics you are most interested in. During the course you will also get to learn more about safe diving, making diving even more rewarding.

The course consists of theory and 5 dives on various topics; you will learn about  navigation underwater, deeper diving, night diving and otherwise two optional dives such as wreck diving, search and elevation, multi-level diving, or otherwise. It requires no greater experience to this course and can  be  easily taken immediately after completion of a basic course, to provide you with extended experience under safe forhold.Max 4 persons per kurs Vi driving courses with only 4 pupils per course because we believe it gives each student a better learning basis, greater opportunity for development and good personal attention. We use dry suit on the course, it is most common to dive with in Norway.

PROFESSIONAL COURSES

RESCUE

Through theory and practice you’ll learn to anticipate and prevent diving accidents. You will also learn to take care of yourself and others in stressful situations. Max 4 people per course.
