The Søgne Archipelago has challenged sailors for centuries with its countless islands, reefs, skerries, and narrow passages. Over the years, many vessels have been lost in these waters, creating a rich underwater heritage waiting to be explored.

One Ocean knows the location of many wrecks in the area, but there are still countless undiscovered sites. Who knows? During your weekend, we may even uncover something completely new.

Join us for an exciting combination of wreck hunting, sonar exploration, and wreck diving. Learn the basics of side-scan sonar technology, how to interpret sonar images, and what to consider when diving an unknown site.

Accommodation, Breakfast & Dinner

One Ocean offers a selection of accommodation options conveniently located near our dive centre and activities. We would be delighted to help you find the most suitable accommodation and arrange your reservation.

Guests who prefer alternative accommodation are welcome to make their own arrangements.

For added convenience, breakfast can be arranged through One Ocean during your stay. Guests who prefer to organize their own breakfast are, of course, welcome to do so.

For dinner, guests may choose to dine independently or let us assist with recommendations and reservations at some of our favourite local restaurants. We are happy to help organize dinner arrangements throughout the weekend.

Thursday – Arrival Day

Guests are welcome to arrive throughout the day.

For those arriving early, optional diving is available from our house reef.

Dinner

Enjoy your first evening in Søgne. We are happy to recommend and reserve a table at one of our favourite local restaurants. Please let us know in advance if you would like us to make a reservation for you.

Friday – Wreck Hunting & Sonar Exploration

Breakfast

Guests may enjoy breakfast on their own or, if arranged in advance, breakfast can be provided through One Ocean.

Morning Session

Introduction to wreck hunting and search techniques:

• Basics of side-scan sonar
• Planning a search area
• Interpreting sonar images
• Positioning and marking targets
• Safety considerations when exploring unknown sites

First Dive

Search an area of interest, identify potential targets and investigate underwater findings.

Lunch on Board

Enjoy fresh homemade Italian mozzarella from a local artisan cheese producer, served with warm garlic bread while relaxing between dives.

Second Dive

Dive on one of the area’s well-known wrecks, weather conditions permitting.

Evening Gathering

Review sonar images, discuss discoveries and share diving experiences from the day.

Dinner can be arranged individually, or we will be happy to recommend and reserve a table at one of our favourite local restaurants.

Saturday – Wreck Exploration Day

Breakfast

Guests may enjoy breakfast on their own or, if arranged in advance, breakfast can be provided through One Ocean.

Two Boat Dives

Continue searching for wrecks and investigating promising targets.

If conditions allow, we will dive newly discovered sites or revisit previously identified wrecks.

Lunch on Board

Lunch is served between dives and may include pasta, fresh fish, coffee, and tea.

Barbecue Evening

Upon returning to the dive centre, we gather for a relaxed barbecue included as part of the event.

Share stories, discoveries, and experiences from the weekend while enjoying good food and great company.

Sunday – Optional Dive or Departure

Breakfast

Guests may enjoy breakfast on their own or, if arranged in advance, breakfast can be provided through One Ocean.

Optional Morning Dive

For those wishing to extend the weekend, an optional morning dive may be arranged.
